    The restaurant their parodying was called Farrel's Ice cream parlor. They were big in the mid 70's-mid 80's. They had them in Milwaukee, WI in that time period. I would have been the same age as these characters in that era. They do that birthday BS too. You got a free small hot fudge sunday.

    I love Kitty teaching Hyde 😂
    When i met my guy he couldn't dance. One day we went out and he was trying to clap and bounce to the music in his seat and I realized that his problem was absolutely zero sense of rhythm 🤭. I taught him how to count out 4/4 and 3/4 time and it made a world of difference 😆 he's still not going to win any competitions, but at least he can do the minimum without feeling lost 🤷‍♀️

      Red is supposedly from a time before weed was socially “normalized” in the mid 60s. He honestly has little to no experience in it so no way to recognize it unless he witnessed it. We had a guy at work that used to come in high on crack and because i was the only one with experience in crack heads, i was the only one with any idea what was happening.

    27:44 No. In the 70s you couldn't plug anything into your radio. The speakers at Drive-In theaters had a thingie on back... you just kinda hung it on your car window. Then adjusted the volume knob. So it was inside your car.

    • @zimvader25
      @zimvader25 15 дней назад +1

      You don’t plug anything now. In the 70s it was exactly the same as today, actually. You tuned your fm radio to a specific frequency. If you didn’t have fm radio yet, since it came out in the mid 70s, you used the speaker. Or if you just didn’t want to use your radio because you were afraid to drain your battery (you wont, the battery can power a radio for around 12 hours before losing its ability to jump the starter in your car).

    Later, Drive-ins plugged into the car radio. In the 1970s, there was a speaker on a pole you would put on your window. That's old school Drive-in. I love this episode.

    • @zimvader25
      @zimvader25 14 дней назад

      You’re like the 3rd person here that says something about plugging into your car. Where are you all getting that from? I grew up a few blocks away from a drive-in theater in the 70s-80s and still have a drive in here in town that we go to. Still fm radio frequency. Never plugged anything in anywhere. The speaker is from the 40s and once FM radio came out in the mid 70s, drive in theaters went to just using a specific fm frequency per movie. Nothing plugs in anywhere.

    • @bighuge1060
      @bighuge1060 14 дней назад

      @@zimvader25 "Tuned In" if you prefer. Don't get upset. I simply used "plugged in" to refer to "connecting through" the radio. There was never anything that physically "plugged" into your car.

  • @j.s.viewer3923

    Yeah so far Donna and Eric are just best friends who’ve made out a couple times.
    That coupled with them being kids who’ve never dated before, leaves a lot of grey area for them to define things on their own unique journey.
    Plus the culture of the seventies was still riding the high of the late sixties free love mentality.
    For my own personal reasons and seemingly similar to Donna, I think it was gross of Eric to kiss the college girl and it calls into question if he felt his moments with Donna so far were significant at all…..
    But as me/Donna came to terms with, it wasn’t truly a betrayal and I do love that Eric fessed up immediately (unlike a certain someone on Friends lol) despite being pressured to take terrible advice from his friends
    I’m still Team Eric! 🎉
